Worshiping God As Our Father.
Worship Service During Overnight At Life Ministries Namuwongo.
What is worship
Worship means respectful devotion—loving, honoring, and obeying someone who deserves our highest regard. Worshipping God means acknowledging and celebrating His power and perfection in gratitude. Worship includes understanding and awe of God’s Holiness; we remember how great He is and behave reverently in His Presence.
Worshiping God as our Daddy.
Part 2
Like He Is Our Father.
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not.
1 John 3:1
When Jesus went to the cross, He paid the immeasurable price of our adoption as the sons and daughters of the living God and this is where all true worship begins. Everything begins with our adoption to God , all our singing, prayer, all begins with being able to come to God as His children.
Jesus teaches us to pray like this, ” Our Father who art in Heaven…” Mathew 6:9. There is an everlasting love in this statement as He gives us the utter accessibility to call us His sons and daughters.
Jesus says that our Father in heaven is a good father. He’s not too busy for you. He’s not a deadbeat, absentee, disinterested dad. When we talk to him, we know he hears. When we pray, and ask, we know that he listens. And better yet, he always knows what is best for us. He provides our needs and shapes us and disciplines us, like a good father would his children. It makes him happy to do so because he delights in us. He actually wants us.
So how should we worship in this regard? To worship God is to give Him our love, obedience, reverence, service, praise, gratitude, and devotion. Heavenly Father commands His children to worship in fellowship with other believers and also in private. Not only do our worshipful efforts show our love for God and our commitment to Him, but they also give us strength to keep His commandments. When Jesus Christ was asked what the greatest commandment was, He responded, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind” (Matthew 22:37). Jesus demonstrated perfectly throughout His mortal life how to worship God the Father. He did “the will of the Father in all things from the beginning.” When you stop to think about how much Heavenly Father has done for you, you will find that your love for Him and your desire to obey Him increase. way we express our gratitude for Father’s love and show that we seek to draw close to Him.
Choosing to believe that Heavenly Father exists and trusting in His wisdom and power are essential to humbly approaching God in worship. During His time on earth, Jesus Christ showed us how to worship Heavenly Father, John 5:19–20. The most important way we can worship God the Father is to come unto His Son Jesus Christ through faith and repentance and strive to walk the path that leads to eternal life (see John 17:3). Those who make Heavenly Father the sole focus of their worship can someday become like Him.
